Senior Backend Developer
The role
You’ll own large parts of our backend systems - from design to production.
This is not a “ticket execution” role. You’re expected to think in systems, make strong decisions, and ship fast. You’ll work closely with product and frontend to turn ideas into real features, and make sure everything holds up at scale.
You’ll also work across the stack when needed, especially when it helps you move faster or deliver a better product.
What you’ll do
Design and build scalable backend systems in TypeScript and Node.js
Own services end-to-end - architecture, implementation, deployment, and monitoring
Work with AWS to build reliable, performant infrastructure
Improve system performance, reliability, and developer experience
Collaborate closely with product and frontend to shape features, not just implement them
Take part in technical decisions that define how the system evolves
What we’re looking for
Strong experience with TypeScript and Node.js in production systems
Comfortable designing backend architectures that scale
Experience with AWS (or similar cloud platforms)
Solid understanding of APIs, data modeling, and distributed systems
Comfortable getting your hands into infrastructure when needed
High agency - you take ownership and push things forward without waiting to be told
Strong product sense - you care about what you build, not just how
Bonus
Experience building real-time systems
Experience with AI/LLM-powered products
Experience working in early-stage startups
Exposure to DevOps / infrastructure tooling
